About the plates	These are standard neck plates with nickel-colored plating designed to the Fender standard, the plates are 2" x 2.5" with holes on center at 1.5" and 2", respectively.
About the engraving	Using the newest Laser Engraving technology, the plate is etched a fraction of an inch, which turns the metal a rich brown color. Laser marking is permanent and easily visible. The black nickel plates can also be marked in a silver color.
What designs work best?	Text and graphics work best. Photographs will also work, but for best results, photos should have a lot of white areas and should have good contrast. Images are converted to black and white before engraving. Shades of gray are engraved using a subtle pattern of tiny dots. For best results with detailed photographs, choose our Aluminum Photo Plates.
What doesn't work well?	Very thin lines. Very small lettering. Subtle shading or highlighting.

Exactly as expected and lightning fast!

Wow! I couldn't be happier with the result! I'm pretty detail-oriented and I had some pretty exact specifications for the LazrArt team when I ordered my plate, but the level of quickness and the technical expertise in their advice regarding my design really made me feel good about my choice to buy from them. Of course, being a family-owned and operated business based right here in the U.S. makes me even more proud of my purchase. Their willingness to invest in the latest technology and provide even more options to the market means a lot to a guy like me who's always looking for the newest innovations in the guitar community. My new neck plate definitely helps my '57 reissue stand out as my personal instrument and I can't seem to help but show it off. Bottom line: If you're still on the fence about pulling the trigger on your own neck plate, trust that you're in good hands and order it yesterday. Fantastic product!

I had Lazr Art etch Frankenstein’s monster onto a nickel neck plate for a telecaster I’m building and it looks soooo cool. Fantastic quality, awesome customer service and a great customization idea! Will be shipping here again!
