About the plates	These neck plates are designed to the Fender standard, the plates are 2" x 2.5" with holes on center at 1"left, 2" right and 1.5" across. NOTE: Some guitars use neck plates whose left screw holes are 1.125" apart - this neck plate will not fit.
About the engraving	Using the newest Laser Engraving technology, the plate is etched a fraction of an inch. Steel/alloy plates show rich brown engraving. Laser marking is permanent and easily visible. *LaserBlack Darkening is a manual 4-step process that changes the natural brown engraving to a black color
